Standards developed specifically for Long-term Care and Residential Homes

Long-term care standards

Our Long-term Care Standards are for organizations that deliver high levels of care and nursing care to residents 24-hours a day. These organizations may also provide other services like accommodations, social and recreational activities, housekeeping, and meals.

Residential homes standards

The Residential Homes Standards are for organizations that provide services to seniors and residents who require low to moderate levels of care. This includes organizations like retirement homes, assisted living, supportive housing, or care homes that provide a combination of the following services: private or semi-private accommodations, support with daily living activities, social and recreational activities, housekeeping, and meals.
