Joint webinar hosted by Accreditation Canada and the Ontario Association of Cardiologists

A well-attended joint webinar titled “Overview of Echocardiography Quality Improvement (EQI) Program” was hosted by Accreditation Canada (AC) and the Ontario Association of Cardiologists (OAC) on October 26. Approximately 200 client organizations, represented by medical and technical directors from Ontario echocardiography facilities, were engaged in a one-hour session led by Shireen Persaud, Operations Lead for the EQI Program.

The webinar was a signal to client organizations that we are resuming on-site assessments after a short pause in the program. It was also an opportunity for AC to provide an overview of the program and remind clients about their immediate next steps.

EQI Program assessments are carried out by AC, and participation in the program is mandated by the Ontario Ministry of Health. All echocardiography facilities in the province must be accredited.

Through this joint webinar, AC and OAC demonstrated their commitment and close collaboration to enable the program’s continued success. It also provided an avenue for clients to ask any questions related to the program.
